Social Poster
The Social Poster Design Project encouraged students to create a poster that brought attention to a social issue of their choosing. "Toxic Ties" is a 24” by 36” poster highlighting the all too common, yet often invisible problem of controlling relationships. The design pushes a simple yet bold imagery of a brain being controlled by marionette puppet strings. The brain has been flipped upside down because, when in love, you’re not always in your right state of mind. Your mind plays a large role when in a relationship, not just the heart. The text prompts the viewer to “cut the strings of control” because “abuse isn’t always physical.”
